About Mrs. Berrigan
Hi! My name is Mrs. Berrigan and I have been a teacher at St.Christina for many years. It is my home away from home. I am looking forward to a new homeroom of third graders. My educational background is as follows: I am a graduate of St. Thomas More School, Queen of Peace High School, Northern Illinois University where I earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education (K-9), and a Masters Degree in Education the Teaching of Reading (K-12)at Chicago State University. I am also a certified Catechist for the Archdiocese of Chicago. This summer of 2017, I completed an online class on Childhood Disorders, and I read I Was A Third Grade Spy. I organized some new ideas in writing and for our Foss Science Program. This year I will read The Best School Year Ever by Barbara Robinson to my class and that is our third grade theme. I will continue the PBIS program, so we will Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Positive. My 2016-2017 class loved it. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in third grade and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am very privileged to be a faculty member at St. Christina School where I am honored to work with consumate professionals and the world's best students. I am very grateful to God for all I have and to the wonderful parents who are my partners in their child's education. Thank you for being a part of our Room 16 team!
